Great boots! Oct 17, 2010
By Some where in Seattle

I bought these for my husband to wear around the property. We have a lot of land and the steel toe part is appealing. He worked in a warehouse many years ago during college and he was using those and found the steel toe to be quite handy at times but he feet would get wet. This was a great upgrade and cheap since he was only using them to do "yard work" (our yard work is on a massive scale). They are quite attractive, if that matters. They are waterproof as advertised, they are quite warm and he likes the sole. They are molded. The older pair I mentioned above needed to be replaced for many reasons one of which was the sole was falling apart but that can't happen as easily with this molded sole. Also, they are quite light. I was worried about them being heavy but he said they are great. They do run small. He normally wears a 9 but in these he took an 8Wide and even the 8M were only a bit tight. He leather took a bit of time, a day, to flex a bit. He likes them and the price was perfect ($50). He bought another pair to put away after these need replacing. The soles are also quite aggresive which is good for his work but could be a pain since they will likely gather mud and muck but he needs the traction so he is happy with them.

Worth it Sep 08, 2010

The boot is sturdy, it lives up to the hype of being waterproof and warm even in harsh conditions -20 degrees. They look a little too prety to be considered work boots and my only dislike is that the material, after a year of using them to kick the breaks off of stands and other things, at the toe begin to split and tear. but other than that they are some nice boots to have.
Lace support broke on first use Oct 27, 2010
By D. Lawson I got these, put them on, pulled the laces tight (once) one of the brass supports for the laces broke off immediately. Not the hooks, the main lace supports further toward the bottom. Other than that it felt comfortable for the next 15 seconds while I gazed confusedly at my broken pair of new shoes.
