A couple of design changes are in order Jun 21, 2010
By Mr Ranger I have not had mine long enough to talk about how the stitching and material will hold up, but it appears to be very nicely built and the material looks like it will wear well. After a few dozen washings I will have to comment further.
A couple of design changes are in order however. For the life of me, I cannot believe that any person who put these on would put anything of value in the front pants pockets. The pockets are simply not deep enough. If you put your keys in them, you feel as if you are going to loose them for sure. I have to ask if anyone who may have been involved in the design or manufacturing of these has ever put these on?
Secondly, any coveralls and these included, would benefit from a pass-through pocket so that you can reach your keys in your regular pants front pockets, since you will not be able to put them in the coverall pockets.
Third, I wonder what percentage of the target audience for these is 45 plus and wears reading glasses, or anyone who may have need for securing safety-glasses like me? A shirt pocket with a Velcro flap would really be a tremendous improvement.
I ordered a Large/Short (thanks for the short option!) and have a suspicion that the body length is for a guy 6'2". So even though the legs may be short, the crotch hangs down and the legs are still about 3" too long for my 5'5, 29" inseam self.
I suppose it is a good thing that the body is too long, when you try to take them off, because there is no sleeves to pull on, it is very hard to get off. If the body fit properly it would be tough to get these off your shoulders. Now if they have a 16 year old kid try to get them off; no problem. Let a few of the guys from the office about 50 (and not so flexible) try it. I believe that if the coveralls were made with a longer body (as my short model) and had something (buttons, snaps, Velcro) to adjust the waist and or ankles, one could adjust the fit.
Of course, it goes without saying; any pair of coveralls would benefit by having full length leg zippers so that you didn't have to take off your boots every time you want to put on or remove the coveralls. I would certainly pay extra for this feature.
I believe that if a little more attention was given to the design in the areas I mention, these would be about perfect. As it is I still believe that they are nicely built for the price.

Jumpsuit Manifesto May 29, 2009
By N. Hammond Since recently having my eyes opened to the wonderful and stylish world of the one-piece jumpsuit I have derived these simple conclusions....
1) I am going to buy a different color jumpsuit to be worn on each day of the week
2) I am a complete moron for no having thought of this before
You see, I looked within myself and realized that for a great many years I have been needlessly toiling with multiple garments...pants...belt... shirt ...etc. The mere thought of the time, energy, and brain cells I have wasted I find extremely unsettling.
The jumpsuit combines all three of these things into one easy to wear outfit.
Furthermore, when one sets out to don these multiple garments they are faced with the arduous task of making sure that each piece matches or at least compliments eachother.
When wearing a jumpsuit your pants and shirt always match....
It is for these reasons that I have decided from now on to live a much simpler, hassle free, one-piece lifestyle...
In my opinion there are two types of people in this world...those that wear a one-piece outfit...and those that don't.
When judgment day arrives whose side would you rather be on?
I've made my choice

Review for Dickies Short-Sleeve Cover-All Dec 29, 2007
By Calicowinks I got this for my husband for Christmas. Although one might not think this would qualify as something nice enough to be a gift, you would be wrong! My husband loved it! He has needed a new one for years as his old one has holes in some embarrassing places. The fabric with this new one has a good ounce weight - not too light, not too heavy. My husband especially likes the fact that the zipper is two-way, which means he doesn't have to take the whole thing off to go to the bathroom! We got the color in black which my husband was happy for. He changes the oil in our cars so the oil stains will not show up. He also felt that the entire cover-all was roomy and comfortable, but not baggy. We are both very happy with this product and will buy another without a blink!

Sturdy and Bold-Colored Version of the Classic from Yesteryear Oct 10, 2007
By Phillip A. Bucci I've been told that the Dickie's products at Walmart and other large supercenter bricks and mortar retailers, are not the same, but actually a lesser quality than the original Dickies coveralls. You can trust that these from Amazon are the real thing. No discredit to Walmart, just don't want you to think the Walmart Dickies coveralls are the same as Dickie's coveralls.
The medium blue pair were purchased for my elderly father. Coveralls, or jump-suites, provide comfort and simplicity. Due to dad's age and size, we had to purchase the medium-short size. Medium being waste and overall cut, and short for the length. Even with the short length, we had to have it shortened.
Both mom and dad noted the brighter, medium-blue color, expecting the traditional light blue, which may be still available. However, it appears that Dickies have correctly beefed up the colors available and it works.
I asked my dad if he would like another pair in a different color. He said no. Which means yes coming from an 87 year-young person. So, will it be gray, tan, or navy?

Worked for me Aug 25, 2011
By S. Kelly These are comfortable, durable and hold up to repeated washings. What I don't like is there is no access to your pants pockets, nor are there zippers on the legs. Other than that, this is a great item for a great price.
