5Great Gloves for Dirt Bike Riding  Dec 13, 2010 By JCF
I have had the Impact Pro gloves for a couple of months now. For some reason (and I'm definitely not complaining!) I was charged $18.40 delivered for them through Amazon Prime, instead of somewhere around $23 (which is not a bad price either). The fit is good and reasonably true (I wear a size 13, but could only get XXL size 12, which is typical). These gloves have pretty good finger tip protection- one of the big reasons I went to a mechanics glove instead of a dirt bike glove. The impact ribs run about 3/4 the length of each digit, except for the "pinkie" finger, and continues to cover a large portion of the back of the hand. I did take a razor blade and "kerf" these ribs a little to increase the flexibility some. The palm is artificial leather (Clarino or Leatherette, whatever it's called) with external padding. The top is made of that nylon(?) woven stuff on most gloves nowadays- fairly breathable and tough, however cactus spines and the like will have no problem penetrating it. The finger webs have a very light nylon material used by other gloves (mainly for ventilation I'd guess) but it does not go very high up the sides of the fingers- a positive characteristic. Even though ventilation is fairly low on my list of needs, I would guess that most people would be satisfied in that regard. For my specific use, my only complaints would be the reduced finger tip protection on the pinkie finger and the lack an impact rib on the top or side of the thumb. I am very happy with these gloves.

5Great, comfotable gloves.  Aug 03, 2010 By Scott
I love these gloves. They contour your hands very well. I have noticed that these gloves tend to wear out much faster when you use them around oils (especially meneral oils). They also protect your hands very well from grabbing hot items and from cuts on burs from metals. The impact protection these gloves offered is what I love the most about these gloves. Sure certain gloves well protect fron "knuckle bustin" your hand up but any glove is better than nothing. Its also the comfort that makes it easy to use to even pick up screws. I highly recommend these gloves but take care of them to get the most out them.

They fit Well...Like a glove. Perfectly flexible, good amount of protection. I love these gloves. I will purchase them again when the ones I just bought get worn out. If they ever do.

5Depending on usage you may want commercial grade  Sep 04, 2011 By JW Solutions
I have had two pairs of these gloves. The first pair I used for spring cleanup and yard projects. I definitely feel I got my moneys worth even though they lasted me about a 1 1/2 months before the finger tips began coming apart.

However, I am a college student and was off for the summer and working in my yard 12 to 16 hours a day building fences, digging french drains, changing the slope of an embankment in my front yard. There was a 2 week period where I was shoveling GA red clay for an average of 12 hours a day.

I bought a second pair to use while riding my motorcycle in the summer. I have about 4000 miles on them and they are holding up fine. I upgraded to the Mechanix Wear CG30-75-0101 commercial grade gloves for use with outdoor work and they have held up to everything I have been able to throw at them.
