Avoid these boots!! Feb 10, 2007

[I have edited this review. I would now give these boots a one-star rating]
I have worn these boots sparingly over the past year (only when it's very cold and/or wet). The boots are not abused and have plenty of tread left on the bottom. During this time the padding/cushion in the back of the boot has become bunched and created a knot. I'm now unable to wear these boots without my foot becoming rubbed raw.
I believe this is a manufacturing or engineering defect. If you feel the padding on the back of the boot with your fingers, you will notice that it is thicker in some places and thinner in others.
I also had to replace the soles in these almost immediately. The bottom of the inside of the shoe is covered in a fabric that is slippery, which cause the factory soles to get bunched up (I walk a lot). I replaced them with gel soles and the problem was solved.
I have contacted Nautilus and their response is that any claim must be made with the original retailer. I don't feel like I got my money's worth.
I would not recommend purchasing these boots. I'm disappointed in the Nautilus policy and quality of this footwear and will no longer buy their products.
Worthless shoes Apr 12, 2010
By Jim Coan I bought these boots as a Christmas present for my son. He wore them for about 6 weeks before they started to fall apart. After 3 months they were totally worn out and are now in the garbage. The soles separated from the shoe. These boots are worthless in my opinion.
