5Super Socks  Mar 08, 2009 By R. ingram "robthetreeman"
I own several pairs of Thorlo's basic socks,Thorlon?,and have put many miles on them, with no problems execpt one they provide little protection from cold. They're great for warm weather but for colder climes ya gotta have more insulation and these socks with the wool/silk blend provide it. If it's really cold add a pair of silk liners and be ready for the coldest weather. One helpful tip-be sure your boots are not tied too tight, this might slow blood circulation causing your feet to feel colder.

5Worth Every Penny  Nov 02, 2010 By Stanley N. Brodsky "Stan"
I've been buying Thorlo socks for several years now. I wear them every day (I'm retired), all day, and take a 4 mile walk in under an hour, on a dirt and rock road, each day. These socks are worth every penny. Their comfort and long wear capabilities are unchallenged. I have both the Wool/Silk socks, and the Coolmax socks. Although they are both wonderful to wear, I like the Wool/Silk the best.

5Nice hiking socks!  Aug 28, 2010 By T. Lee "God has died lots of times, but someone keeps pulling the stake out."
I'm a beginner hiker, but I've read up a bit and, knowing the importance of socks that 1) cushion your feet inside your boots and 2) wick away sweat, I decided to try these. Went on my first hike on the trails of Mammoth Cave Park wearing these in some steel toe hikers. Spent three hours walking and enjoying the park, sweating like the out-of-shape novice hiker that I am, and loved every minute of it. Not a single problem with my feet: no red spots from rubbing, no stank from sweat, nothing. Glad I bought these for my very first hiking socks!

5My feet are in love  Jan 21, 2010 By Dartanyon C. Race
These socks are amazing. I'm using them mostly as everyday socks in a colder environment, some hiking, walking and cycling too. They breathe well, keep my feet warm and dry, and if you are wondering if you really need to spend so much on a pair of socks ... yes. Not at all like the 3 packs of socks you get at the super stores.
