Great Cushioning Jan 15, 2009
By Smaferikfurter I wore these on a 10-mile springtime hike, and even though it was a warm day and they were a very tight fit in my shoes (due to their thickness), my feet were not the least bit sore at the end of the day. This was a first for me, to not have a single blister or sore spot after a long hike. Wonderful socks.

great sock Feb 22, 2008
By birdmanct This sock is warm, comfortable, well-padded, and well-made. It feels smooth on your skin, unlike the usual wool. I love it!

Awesome sock! Very comfortable and warm! Feb 09, 2009

On a very cold day, I wore these Wigwam socks in my Ariat Fatbaby boots for 13+ hours straight! The socks were incredibly A++ comfortable! And despite keeping my feet warm, they never felt sweaty or hot. The socks were perfect at the end of the day. My only con I could say is the top was a tiny bit thick as I have a high arch and I could feel it pressing slightly against the top of my boot. Excellent sock. The Columbia Falmouth light merino hikers I tried the next day bunched up in my boot on the bottom of my foot in front of my heel and were not as comfortable as the Wigwams.

Soft, but not as warm and a little tight Jan 16, 2010
By Anonymous These socks are not bad, but they are not nearly as great as the other reviews make them sound. I ordered the extra large size, which I thought would be a generous fit since my shoe size is 12-13. So I was surprised at how tight they are, and they also don't go up as far as I had expected. The material feels very nice, very soft, and not scratchy at all. But it's not as warm as other wool I have had (which, admittedly, was scratchier).

I used these socks while hiking for hours in very warm weather. They were great! Combined w/ Merrell shoes, they are making a killer combination :)
